Embarking on a journey through South India is like opening a treasure chest of diverse cultures, rooted traditions, and dreamy landscapes. The journey begins in Chennai, a bustling metropolis alive with energy from the robust aroma of filter coffee. From there, we traverse to Pondicherry, where French charm meets serene beaches. The route takes us to Tanjore, home to the iconic Brihadeeswarar Temple, showcasing the brilliance of Chola architecture. Continuing to Chettinadu, visit grand mansions and indulge in its renowned cuisine. Next, we visit Rameshwaram, a sacred pilgrimage site, followed by Madurai, where the revered Meenakshi Amman Temple captivates visitors. From the plains, the journey ascends to Munnar, where mist rolls over endless tea gardens, before descending into the dense forests of Periyar. We glide through the enchanting backwaters of Alleppey and then explore the historic port city of Cochin. Heading north, the cosmopolitan pulse of Bangalore contrasts with the royal heritage of Mysore, and the historical significance of Hassan, before culminating in the ancient ruins of Hampi. At last, relax on the sun-kissed beaches of Goa and savour the infectious energy of Mumbai.
 
Each destination deepens our emotional connection to the region as we go along this route. In Chennai, the city hums with life, but as we arrive in Pondicherry, the French Quarters draw us into strolls through colourful bougainvillea. Tanjore and Chettinadu introduce the grandeur of Tamil Nadu’s architectural and culinary delights, while the spirituality of Rameshwaram and Madurai imbues the journey with a sense of devotion. Munnar’s rolling hills refresh the spirit, and Periyar’s tranquillity offers a peaceful retreat. The backwaters of Alleppey, with their winding canals, provide a serene backdrop for reflection, leading us to Cochin, where history unfolds in every corner. In Bangalore, the modern skyline contrasts beautifully with Mysore’s royal legacy. Hassan reveals the artistry of Hoysala architecture. The sandy shores of Goa invite relaxation, while Mumbai’s urban sprawl leaves a lasting impression, concluding the journey across varied landscapes from South to West India.

Discover the laborious process of making veenas, the divine instrument of the South. During this workshop, learn how parts of the veena are carved out of the trunk of the jackfruit tree and how the veena becomes more melodious as the wood ages.

Experience the nuanced cuisine of Chettinad that uses local ingredients efficiently to make the most flavourful foods. Take part in the cooking, followed by an elaborate lunch of the signature dishes served on a banana leaf.

Aboard a traditional houseboat in Kerala, lay back and observe the town life by the lakeside while feasting on sumptuous local cuisine prepared on board using fresh catch of the lake.
